Hon Yinka Omikunle begins with dazzling philanthropic actions

With just a day in office, Hon Yinka Omikunle has responded to the call of his constituents in Osungbade.

Tuesday 20th June, 2023, which marks the resumption of Hon Yinka Omikunle to office, he graded the school field of IMG Primary School Osungbade in Ward 11 of Ibadan South East Local Government. The grading of the field is much important to the school as she will be hosting her inter-house sports competition in coming days. The field also serves the Osungbade community and neighborhood as sporting activities are being hosted there for the youths. Sport is a major tonic in Nigeria meant to teach an individual certain valuable lessons like leadership, communication, team spirit, discipline, courage and many other life skills required for a successful life.

On Wednesday June 14th, 2023, the 10th Assembly of Oyo State House of Assembly was inaugurated with Hon Yinka Omikunle as one of the 17 newly elected lawmakers.

In the speech of the Oyo State Governor, Engr Seyi Makinde, he restated his commitment to prioritizing education. “I ask that you work with us as we continue to make education a priority. We have promised the good people of Oyo State that we will continue to allocate 15-20% of our budget to education and that we will take all actions necessary to return another 20% of our out-of-school children to the classrooms. Of course, these budgets will be sent to this house to be passed into law. Our expectation is that when we present our budgets, they will be passed in good time. ”

As Hon Omikunle has pledged to support the Sustainable Development under Omituntun 2.0, he has started well by supporting education in the state, extracurricular activities like inter-house sports competition adds passion to education from the pupils and also lure more out of school pupils to school.

Our correspondent was informed that Hon Omikunle was offered a house adoption very lately but accepted for the love he has for education and wellness of people.
