OYINBO9JAMEDIA: How long have you been doing music professionally?

Artist: Actually, I started doing music since my childhood days not until 2020 when I decided to make it professional. I started music when I joined the choir in CCC AGBALA ITURA Parish IDOSEMO, Ipokia Local Government, Ogun State, as a drummer where my dad used to be the Choirmaster.

After finishing my secondary school in 2015, I relocate to AGEGE Lagos where I stay with my elder brother (James) who is a professional talking drummer. So I started following him to the church he attended to back him up while he played the lead talking-drum, I play the backup talking-drum. Few years later, he handed the post over to me officially when I gained admission to LASU in 2019.

As a lover of music and upcoming artist I recorded two tracks while staying with my elder brother. One single track and the second track I featured a rapper. In 2020 I dropped a new single titled “Bless My Hustle” when I resumed in LASU. Then I featured a rapper on the single track.

Furthermore, in 2021 I had a collaboration with a friend of mine who’s also an artist in LASU named Iceman. Afterwards, i released another single (Party Lo) followed by (Your Love). I’m a dreamer, who like being alone by myself then I get lost day dreaming. My dream comes true is when I wake up everyday and found my music playing on the television, radios, social medias and hearing people screaming my name everywhere “Tiwagold! Tiwagold!! Tiwagold!!!”.

I want to become a superstar I mean a big star and seeing my music career growing bigger everyday. Finally, in August 2023, I dropped my new Single titled Nonstop, officially available all over streaming platforms. I believe this would take over the world! Watch out.

OYINBO9JAMEDIA: Do you think/feel you’ve got a place in the Nigerian music industry

Tiwagold- Yes of course.

OYINBO9JAMEDIA: I love music in general, doing music helps in improving my level of learning, concentration, and memory. It also boost my mental fitness, enhance physical performance, and reduce pain. I’m a dreamer attimes I might like to be alone by myself then I get lost day dreaming, My dream come true is when I wake up everyday and found my music playing on the television, radios, social medias and hearing people screaming my name everywhere “Tiwagold! Tiwagold!! Tiwagold!!!”. I want to become a superstar I mean a big star and seeing my music career flourishing.

OYINBO9JAMEDIA: What else would you have done outside music?

Tiwagold – Apart from doing music I am also a Content Creator(IG Page: @tiwagoldofficial, TikTok page: @iamtiwagold, Twitter: @TiwaGoldenBoy, Thread: @tiwagoldofficial), I’m the CEO TG GADGETS(I’m into Buying, Selling, Shipping, Swapping and Fixing of phones and gadgets-IG: @t.g.gadgets, FB Page: @TG Gadgets WhatsApp Business: +234 811 943 6571) I do Graphic Designs(IG: @tee.gee.art), Web Developer/Digital Marketer.

OYINBO9JAMEDIA: The Nigerian music space is very clouded at the moment, seems everyone is trying to get a spot, what makes you different?

Tiwagold – What makes me different in Nigeria music space is my unique sound and sweet melodies and act of singing, when it comes to making good music call me.

OYINBO9JAMEDIA: What/who inspires you?

Tiwagold- Actually I started doing music since my childhood until 2020 when I decided to make it professional. I started my music journey when I joined the choir in CCC AGBALA ITURA Parish IDOSEMO, Ipokia Local Government, Ogun State as a drummer where my dad is the Choir-master. Basically My biological father is the first person to inspire me follow by some of big Nigerian Artists in the music industry that I look up to in making my own music, @wandecoal, @wizkidayo, @olamide, @burnaboygram, @davido, @donjazzy, @fireboydml, @patorankingfire, @heisrema, @toyoureara(Buju BNXN) and so on!

OYINBO9JAMEDIA: The Nigerian music space is very clouded at the moment, seems everyone is trying to get a spot, what makes you different?

Tiwagold – What makes me different in Nigeria music space is my unique sound and sweet melodies and act of singing, when it comes to making good music call me.: What are your longterm plans and how would you impact the industry?

Tiwagold-I’m working very hard to become a big star, so I can take the Nigeria music industry to next level and to make Africa proud As an icon.

I want to make a good impact in the industry. I will pave way for a lot of upcoming artists that are up to standard of making good music for the whole world to see the beauty in them!

OYINBO9JAMEDIA: Your currently released single is currently buzzing, how do you plan on maintaining the tempo?

Tiwagold- Actually, I got inspired to write the song after watching an IG cover challenge by Majeedofficial song titled-Industrial Sentiment.

Before I came across the cover challenge on IG, I had some real life challenges and past experiences like, issues with people I formally worked with, family and friends issues, real life challenges and so on.

So I decided to write a song titled: Nonstop to express my feelings to the world and I dropped it on all streaming platforms on 14th of August, 2023.

OYINBO9JAMEDIA: Who are your industry icons and artistes you wanna work with?

Tiwagold- I would like to work with Wandecoal,Olamide, Burna Burna Boy, Wizkid, Donjazzy, Rema, Tiwa Savage and a lot more. I’m also open for collaboration and featuring with any other artists so far it’s a good music.

OYINBO9JAMEDIA TEAM: If you had the powers, what would you change about the Nigeria music space?

Tiwagold- I will pave way for a lot of upcoming artists that are up to standard of making good music for the world to see the beauty in them too!
